September 7th - "Porto Santo, Madeira"

Well, what a start to my solo circumnavigation.

Sailed approximately 1250 nm from Ireland to Madeira.

Anchored off a beach at 02:00 this morning, there was a beautiful bright moon to show me the way in.

Had a cup of tea and went to bed, first uninterrupted night's sleep in 9 days, feeling great after it too.

Cleared in with customs this morning, so all good there.

Now it’s time to clean and take care of Waxwing, she carried me here flawlessly, so she deserves to be looked after be me now 😊

I have Wi-Fi and phone again and I am reading through my emails messages and texts, feeling huge help and support from all your lovely messages donation etc, thanks so much.

I will sail to the main island of Madeira in a few days and looking forward to meeting with the school there building a boat (Small boat project)

Will do regular posts for now and start my daily blog once sailing again.

Delighted people feel they are on this voyage of dreams with me, again loving the comments and feedback 🙏
