Top of the morning. 06:00 hrs and all is good on Waxwing. 100 nm south of the Tearaght, the most western of the Blasket islands. Making 6 to 7 kn speed at a course of 006 Should pass the Tearaght this evening (see some whale activity hopefully) and make a course along the back of Mt Brandon and up the Shannon estuary for Kilrush marina. Just got the forecast over the VHF and there’s force 6 from the SW expected, so speed will be good. It’s a pity to pass beautiful co Kerry but i will sail back home to Dingle and Valentia island after kilrush. No shortage of wind on this trip thankfully 😊 I better have a good wash today and get cleaned up 😂 So looking forward to seeing my family and friends again tomorrow. My daughter Rachel looks after all my social media and told me yesterday over the satellite phone that’s there are lovely comments on my blog ( I have no internet onboard) how lovely, thank ye all, I look forward to reading them 😊 Health and happiness to everyone today .
