Good morning from Waxwing So happy to be sailing for home . Both Waxwing and myself are beyond happy to be sailing again it’s like we never stopped, it’s amazing the routine just happens instantly. Life at sea is so simple and I love it . Yesterday I pushed the boat to get across the shipping lanes west of Cabo de Sao Vicente, I wanted to get through before dark and we did , making 7 and 8 kn speed all afternoon ( shipping lanes are like a highway for ships with southbound lanes and northern lanes ) it gets busy and I crossed them in 5 hours . Open water now and so much more relaxed. Had a beautiful night, I went on deck and saw a orange/ red moon setting below the horizon, I have only ever seen that once before it was spectacular. I just downloaded my weather and it looks like I will push on NW probably out as far as longitude 16W to try pick up a west or southwest wind next week . Wishing everyone a lovely day today Waxwing out 😊⛵️
